I’m not a huge fan of feast days commemorating the “translation” of a saints relics. It seems that this event bumps the story of another interesting or inspring forerunner of faith to relegation – and frankly – we need the space. However, I was having a bit of trouble digging up info on the other two saints on offer, in particular Phocas the Martyr – not to be confused I believe with Phocas the Gardener (whose feast is next month – so you’ll just have to wait).
